Boo at the Bridge: An Unforgettable Halloween Event in Colorado

Fall is a special time of year in Colorado as whiffs of cinnamon surround the streets, pumpkin patches pop up, and Halloween events are creeping up on us. Don’t miss this opportunity to trick-or-treat along America’s Highest Suspension Bridge at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park in Southern Colorado! Boo at the Bridge is our annual family Halloween event, drawing mummies and daddies and their little ghouls and goblins from Colorado Springs, Cañon City, and beyond! 

New this year, our Boo at the Bridge will open our thrill rides: The Cloudscraper Zip Line and the Royal Rush Skycoaster! These will be extra pay rides during the event. Zip Line rides are $35 per person and open until 6pm. and the Skycoaster is $25 per rider, open until 7:30pm. All times and ride availability is dependent on weather conditions. Our Aerial Gondola will also be running for guests to experience the depths of the Royal Gorge below! The gondola will run until 6pm, depending on weather.

As the leaves dance in the crisp autumn breeze, the iconic Royal Gorge Bridge transforms into a whimsical wonderland of treats and tricks. Gather your little goblins and join us for a hauntingly delightful time that’s perfect for the whole family this Halloween.

The Royal Gorge Bridge becomes an otherworldly spectacle, illuminated by the soft glow of jack-o’-lanterns and twinkling lights. Capture magical moments with family and friends against the backdrop of breathtaking canyon views, creating memories that will lift your spirits this Halloween season. Also new to Boo at the Bridge this year, Santa’s elves are setting up for the little ones to drop off their Wish Lists to Santa! Letters will be sent directly to the North Pole where Santa will see them.

Mark your cauldrons – oops, calendars – for a spellbinding experience at Boo at the Bridge on Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Join us in embracing the spirit of Halloween, as we create a tapestry of enchantment that will leave you spellbound. It’s an event that blends spooky and spectacular in a way that only the Royal Gorge Region can as trick or treaters dare to cross the Royal Gorge Bridge for candy and more. Don’t miss the thrills and chills of America’s Highest Suspension Bridge during the Halloween season – we’re dying to see you there!

Just us for our 9th annual Boo at the Bridge at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park on October 21st, 2023! Trick-or-treating along America’s Highest Suspension Bridge is hosted by local community businesses from 4:30pm – 7pm. Tickets go on sale October 1st, 2023. Dress in your Halloween best and enter our costume contest. Prizes are a Park Season Pass for 1st place, tickets to our new Bridge of Lights event for 2nd place, and free general admission for a day for 3rd place.

Costume Contest and More at Boo at the Bridge

Along with trick or treating along the Royal Gorge Bridge, families of all ages will have something to enjoy at Boo at the Bridge! Take part in our annual costume contest for the most creative costume. Share your family’s photo on Instagram and tag us at  #booatthebridge23 or send us your photo in a direct message. We will then post to our Story where followers vote for the winning costumes. 

Be sure to post your photo and tag us by Monday, October. 23rd on Instagram! If you don’t have Instagram or your account is private and you would like to participate, private message us your costume image to incorporate into the vote. We will announce winners via social media accounts on October 28th.

This year’s entertainment at Boo at the Bridge includes Nature’s Educators showcasing native creepy crawlies of Colorado, Deja Bluz for dance worthy music, and the annual return of B Box School of Dance. Be sure to stop and watch their spooky interpretation of your Halloween monster mash-ups on the South end of the bridge. Find Nature’s Educators in the plaza theater as they present a carnival of critter stations where you can learn fun facts and create your own coloring book. 

Whether you’re a mischievous sprite or a daring vampire, enter our spirited contest and show off your most creative Halloween costumes. Indulge in treats that will make your taste buds cackle with joy, and capture enchanting memories amidst the breathtaking canyon backdrop.
