Art in the Park is our way of bridging local artists, community members, and tourists together through creativity. The first year of Art in the Park begins Memorial Day Weekend 2024 with local Colorado artist, Rae Lampe, who will paint a mural on the south side of the Royal Gorge Bridge. Lampe’s mural will bring to life the storm shelter bus near the Zip Line loading area by representing the beautiful landscape of the Royal Gorge. Visit us on Memorial Day Weekend to see her paint in action!
About Our Newest Summer Event, Art in the Park
1. Art in the Park
The newest experience at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is our inaugural Art in the Park! This event begins Memorial Day weekend with local artist, Rae Lampe, painting a new mural live. Visitors can watch her in action as she creates a new mural on the storm shelter bus at the park’s south rim near the Zip Line loading area.
Art in the Park is an experience for both artists and guests to interact and discover an appreciation for art together. This community-driven event will feature various artists throughout the summer as they each create something new in the park. Their sculptures will be on display and for sale until Labor Day.
