“Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is a must see in Colorado! It was my first stop on my road trip and it did not disappoint. I walked the bridge there and rode the gondola back. Beautiful views! “
– Kayla, Google Local Guide
Immerse yourself in 360° of Colorado’s natural beauty from the best seat in the state. Glide 2,200 feet across the Gorge, 1,200 feet high above the Arkansas River in our Aerial Gondolas.
Every angle and every view from our Aerial Gondola showcases the spectacular beauty of the Royal Gorge, the Bridge, the Arkansas River and the surrounding Colorado mountain ranges. Eyes will pop. Jaws will drop. Get your camera ready!
Our bright red Leitner-Poma gondola cars were installed in 2013 with the help of a helicopter and specially trained pilot, carefully threading cables and anchors across the Royal Gorge. Today, the Aerial Gondola offers guests an unforgettable journey from one side of the Gorge to the other.
Looking for an entirely new view? Step aboard one of our clear-floor gondola cars and watch the Royal Gorge unfold beneath your feet. Two clear-floor cars are available—one on each carriage—giving guests a thrilling perspective of the landscape below. Clear-floor cars accommodate up to six guests per car and are available as part of the regular Aerial Gondola experience.
The Aerial Gondola is included with General Admission, and guests are welcome to ride as many times as they would like during their visit to Royal Gorge Bridge & Park.
Dogs & Accessibility
Leashed, friendly dogs may ride in our standard gondola cars with their owners at the discretion of the ride operator and depending on queue conditions. Dogs are not permitted in the clear-floor gondola cars.
The Aerial Gondola is wheelchair accessible for wheelchairs no wider than 30 inches. Because there is no accessible ramp at the South platform, guests using wheelchairs will need to ride the gondola back to the North side before accessing the Bridge.
Hours & Operations
The Aerial Gondola opens at 10 a.m. and operates year-round, weather permitting. Standard gondola cars accommodate up to eight guests, while clear-floor cars accommodate up to six guests.
Guest and employee safety is our highest priority. Strong winds, lightning and other weather conditions may temporarily affect gondola operations. If weather prevents you from riding, free next-day admission is available by having your ticket validated at the ticket counter before leaving the park. Because the Aerial Gondola is included with admission at no additional charge, refunds are not issued if the gondola is temporarily unavailable.
