Concert FAQs

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on the website at this link or at our admissions counter up until the day of the concert if not sold out. IF the concert is not sold out, tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Do I need a ticket for my child?

Children under 12 years of age are free with a paying adult.

How do I get my tickets?

When tickets are purchased online, you can download and print or send it to your phone.

When tickets are purchased on site, you will receive them immediately.

Do not lose your tickets as they cannot be reprinted.

Do Season Pass holders get a discount?

Yes, Season Pass holders get a 10% discount on Park After Dark concert tickets. Season Pass holders must purchase their tickets at the park to get this discount.

What is your refund policy?

Park After Dark concert tickets are non-refundable. Concerts will be held rain or shine.

What is the weather policy?

All concerts will be held, rain or shine. Park After Dark concert tickets are non-refundable. We have a weather tracking program which gives us up-to-date information on surrounding weather patterns to help us determine the best course of action for the safety and comfort of our guests and performers.  Decisions on performing during lightning and weather will be made by park officials. Come prepared for and expect delays with Colorado’s changing weather.

What time does the concert start?

The supporting artist will begin at approximately 6:30 pm. The main act will begin at approximately 8:00 pm.

What do I need to bring with me to enter the venue?

Guests must bring their concert ticket and a valid government issued I.D. to enter the venue.

What can I bring to the concert?

Permitted items include:

Low back lawn chairs
Blankets/Towels
Strollers
Re-usable water bottles like canteens must be empty upon entrance into the park
Plastic water bottles must be unopened. Any container that has been opened before entering the park must be completely empty.
Well-behaved pets (must be on a leash and owner must clean up after)

Non Permitted items include:

Outside food and beverages
High back lawn chairs
Marijuana (in any form)
Controlled or illegal substances
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Drones or remote controlled flying devices
Laser pointers
Bullhorns or noise makers
Tents

Can I bring an umbrella?

Umbrellas can be used prior to the performance and during intermission only. Out of respect for other guests around you, umbrellas may not be used during a performances.

May I bring a camera to the concert?

The use of flash photography, professional cameras, digital cameras with detachable lenses, and tape/video recording devices are strictly prohibited and not permitted in the amphitheater. Cell phones are permitted, but should they become an obstruction, you will be asked to put them away.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking is not permitted in Elk Park Amphitheater. We do have designated smoking areas at 2 locations near the amphitheater (near the Skycoaster and by the bridge).

Where do I park?

Parking is free and will be located at the entrance to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. Handicap parking is available.

Are all bags checked prior to entry?

Yes, all bags, large purses, and chairs will be checked prior to entry into the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. We do this for the safety of all of our guests. No coolers will be allowed.

How do I get to the concert venue?

Elk Park Amphitheater is on the south side of the Royal Gorge Bridge. Guests have the option of walking across the bridge (the bridge itself is ¼ of a mile) and then a short uphill walk to the amphitheater or riding the Aerial Gondola across the gorge and walking downhill to the amphitheater.

What is the seating like at the Elk Park Amphitheater?

Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is lawn seating only. The amphitheater seating is on a steep-graded hillside and areas may have uneven footing. Low back lawn chairs and blankets are highly recommended.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Yes. However, we will not have wheelchairs available for rent and transportation to the venue is limited.

Is an ADA section available?

Yes. This space is limited and is first-come, first-serve.

Will food be available for purchase before or during the concert?

Yes, Café 1230 and Bridge View BBQ will be available prior to the concert and we will have limited food options available at the venue.

Will there be alcohol available for purchase before or during the concert?

Yes, alcohol will be served both prior to and during the concert. All guests will be required to show proof of their age prior to entering the venue. The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

No, outside food and beverage will not be permitted at Elk Park Amphitheater.

What artist’s merchandise will be available?

Artist’s merchandise is provided by the artists themselves and some artists do not provide any merchandise for sale. If the artist does provide merchandise for sale, it will be available at the concert venue.

What restroom facilities will be available?

Port-a-potties will be available for concert guests.

Is First-Aid available?

Yes. First-Aid responders will be on-site.

Are there camping or hotel accommodations?

Yes, Cañon City has several hotels and you can view those locations here. In addition, there are many campsites around the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park for reservation.
